AbstractN-Octyltrimethoxysilane (CAS No. 3069-40-7), silane coupling agent SCA-K08M, is a monomeric medium-chain alkylfunctional silane. SCA-K08M is a clear colorless liquid soluble in common non-polarganic solvents (e. G. Petroleum ether, toluene). However its low volatility viscosity make SCA-K08M an easy-to-handle additive. During the hydrolysis reaction between water SCA-K08M a certain amount of ethanol (VOC) is released.
