Application
CAPAC-ZBEC has been developed as a safe secondary amine dithiocarbamate.
- N-Nitrosodibenzylamine is not carcinogenic according to published literature.
- CAPAC-ZBEC is used as a primary secondary ultra-acceleratfthiazole sulfenamide cure systems fgeneral-purpose polymers (NR, SBR, IIR, EPDM). It can be used as a primary ultra acceleratin special applications as well as in latex.
- Within the range of zinc dithiocarbamates, CAPAC-ZBEC provides the longest scorch resistance as well as excellent prevulcanization resistance in latex.
- CAPAC-ZBEC is regulated fuse in articles in contact with food as specified under FDA 21 CFR 175.105, 177.2600 under BfR Recommendation XXI, Categories 1-4 "Sonderkategorie".
Compounding Information
In NR latex, when used as a primary accelerat1 phr of CAPAC-ZBEC with 2.5 phr sulfur is a good starting point.
In EPDM CAPAC-ZBEC has the highest solubility of all dithiocarbamates, offering the lowest blooming effect. An acceptable starting point fa low set non-blooming EPDM compound is ZDBC 2.0, TMTD 0.8, DPTT 0.8 Sulfasan DTDM 2.0 phr. In rubber cured in contact with polyester textiles ZDBC is preferably used over other dithiocarbamates.
